I've figured out the basics like saving, onion skin and found the rotate tool, but by the 7 layers of Hell itself, I cannot figure out how to flip an image over to check for inaccuracies. I could be drawing stuff out of whack and I have no way to tell. Does anyone know what button it is, or if this program even has that option?
Also, i'm on the raster layer. I don't suppose anyone has any tips on how to get the line work to be less.... Scratchy looking? I chose that layer since I could do sketchy things with opacity.

Unfortunately OT does not offer a direct "mirror" option. But with an additional camera it is easily solved:

1) copy the current camera in the schematic view. You may want to rename it "Flip View"
2) select that camera, and switch to the EDIT tool.
3) switch to SCALE mode, and set the H value (horizontal) to -100%.

To check your work by flipping it you have several options now:

A) activate that second camera (either going into the schematic view, or left top dropdown menu in the EDIT tool properties), and click on the small camera icon at the top right of a view. By clicking on that icon, and switching back to table view (the first one of the three icons) you can now flip the screen easily.

Or:

B) keep the view in camera mode, and activate either the normal or flip camera.

Or:

C) open a second combo viewer, and activate the flip camera. Then in your main view work in table view, and in the second view turn on camera view. You now have two views, the original one, and a flipped version. Even when animating you can check your work against a flipped version. You could even create a dedicated room for this - side by side view :-)

To flip just one object, select the level, and use the level EDIT tool in scale mode, and again apply a negative 100% scale H value.

You can do this.

Make sure that the "Tool Option Bar" window is enabled (Window -> Tool Option Bar)

Use the Select Tool (S) to select your entire canvas (or the part of your canvas you want to flip).

With an area selected, inside the Tool Option Bar you'll see two fields: H: 100% and V: 100%. That is the horizontal and vertical scaling. Change H to -100 and your selection will be flipped horizontally.

Hope that helps.

Which is the same as I explained - with the added luxury of not having to go through all those steps again and again each time you want to flip the art.

Ah, I hadn't tried it your way, but adding all the extra cameras seemed a little complicated so I just added the way I knew how to do it (I haven't worked with multiple cameras yet).
