Can't paste keyframes?

I usually can copy the little key icon on frames in the x-sheet, and paste them onto other columns.
But when I paste, nothing appears.
What might the problem be?

Nevermind I figured it out. It's because the keyframes referred to a motion path, not a simpler transformation. So I had to attach the new column to the motion path, then I was able to paste keys.
