So as you see in the title I've been getting this error message and can't seem to work a way around it, I definitely have kernel32.dll but I dunno what to do so

Yeah, having the exact same problem over here, unsure what's causing it and I've tried several things.

Yeh, I've tried reinstalling and made sure I had kernel32, so like I don't know what else to do, did you find a solution now?

Found the issue with several problems and explains mine, it's the OS, OpenToonz is apparently only compatible with Windows 7 and up even though multiple sources said otherwise. Unless you can upgrade there's no work around as far as I've seen.

Well that sucks. Maybe someone else knows something? Because I can't do any upgrades atm and yes, I'm using an old OS, I'm using vista.

I dunno, Opentoonz is open source but I doubt anyone's gonna try and make it compatible for Windows Vista.

I had the same problem. Try to use Opentoonz Morevna Edition, it works on Vista pretty well.
