So I'm paranoid and always run downloads through things like Virustotal and unfortunately a trojan warning popped up. This wouldn't normally be a big deal (false positives happen) but someone else ran a scan 90 minutes before me and got no flags. And so now I'm a bit wigged about this. Has anyone had any issues? And could someone else maybe do a quick scan? Maybe it's something on my end or whatever. Perhaps I'll download the setup again.

Ouch, that's not good.

It's super unlikely the OpenToonz people are consciously including a Trojan, but if you're in any doubt wait a week or so until they've made a new release (they seem to be merging other developers suggestions) and try again.

Scanned the installed files and the installer with Avast. No threats detected. So far, I haven't had any problems.

Yeah I know it's why I'm asking if anyone else is having an issue or would give scanning it a try. I hope its a false positive, but I gave it another go and this is what I got:
    Rising  (Found)  PE:Malware.Generic(Thunder)!1.A1C4 [F]

And since that particular trojan eats computers I'm not willing to risk it at the moment. I don't know - think I should contact the email given perhaps give them a heads up or something? I don't know man.

Windows10 was about to send the executable to microsoft after I ran it as administrator, windows defender doing it's job I guess. I ran a lot of applications as administrator, never had windows defender complain about anything, until opentoonz.

Can you show me the report? My Windows isn't saying anything - the only issue thus far has been one single AV (Rising) throwing up a signal on Virustotal. And Rising tosses false positives like confetti at a parade. Jesus. I was so excited about this program and now I'm too scared to run the setup.exe.

I just checked it myself. Out of 54 anti-virus apps, only one (Rising which is known for false positives) is throwing a warning?

I'd say the odds are OVERWHELMINGLY in favour of a false positive.
