Hi,

I have put some images into opentoonz, linux version (opensuse), but I cannot seem to get the camera to move relative to the drawing.  The images are very large.
Essentially I cannot pan, or track with the camera.

Any help?

Thanks,

The primary means of moving the camera would appear to be to create a Peg (in the Schematic view) and then move the peg.
The trick then to get it to move in sync with the image(s), such as a background, would be to parent the drawn level/background to the camera.
Look through the forum as there is an explanation of this process that has an accompanying screencapture of what the schematic view should look like.

I don't think you actually need the Peg but there does have to be some relationship between the camea and the drawing/level or else they won't move together.
Adding a Peg just assists with organization.

I might have been confusing but what I want is to place the camera on one part of an image/frame.  I think the proper tool is the hand tool but it seems to move both the camera and the drawing.

Thanks for the reply,

The hand tool only moves your current view around the stage. It will in no way affect the animation.

To move the camera, use the edit tool. Select "Camera1" (or whatever camera you are moving) in the first box in the tool options, and then you can edit the position of the camera. Hold <ctrl> to move in and out along the Z-axis. You can also rotate or make other edits to the camera by changing the mode of the edit tool within the second tool option box.

Editing the camera can also be achieved via the Function Editor in the Xsheet room, or by the Schematic view using pegs. If you want to do panning, you'll likely want to work with one of these options.
Here's a tutorial on moving objects along a path in the Schematic view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaB2CyvP4Lg
You can change the output of the peg to be the camera instead of the column to pan the camera.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for.  I am sure I tried that but it did work.

Thanks again,
