Ive been playing around with Opentoonz and Rhubarb lip syn for a while now and had some fun projects on the go.
But i keep getting this error when ive progressed in a project for any length of time and want to redo the audio/Lipsync.
So, as an example, i made an animation with mainly the plastic tool, made skeletons and linked everything etc then after a while decided the audio wasnt right so wanted to just change that and the lipsync, and all i get is this error. no matter what i delete after getting this error it only shows this error until i open a new project. Im guessing its some kind of bug...but i cant believe im the only one experiencing it.

Any ideas?

Try clearing your cache. The error is in the cache folder. Either delete it using your Windows Explorer or inside OpenToonz, choose File > Clear Cache Folder.

Hi, ive tried that as well. Using the Inside Opentoonz option, it still doesnt allow me to redo anything until after ive deleted everything else in the scene and then closed Opentoonz, opened the freshly deleted scene and then readding the mouths. Thats the only way ive managed to clear the error so far

Ok, ive been playing around whilst writing this and made a discovery.
If i use the Camera Stand Visibility toggle to hide everything except the mouth layer, then clear the cache, close Opentoonz, reopen, redo the lipsync. Then it worked. At least that time that i just tried it. Not the most elegant solution by any means, but its a solution for anyone else who might have a similar issue.

P.s - DarrentT, Great Youtube tutorials by the way, they have helped me a ton!

Thank you my friend. That's much appreciated.
And that's an interesting solution. So something is clearly holding onto your audio details. That feels like a bug to be fixed. If you've got time, could you create a bug report (from the Help menu in OpenToonz)

Cheers

I certainly will. Where would you like me to send it? Here?

No. From the Report a Bug option in the Help menu of OpenToonz.
