Hi everyone, I am using a mid-2014 Macbook Pro with Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 installed. I was wondering if anyone encountered a similar error to mine. I have tried changing my camera preset to a different resolution, (the default resolution is 768x576 for some reason), but I have trouble entering in a custom resolution. And even when I select one of the many default presets for the project's resolution under Camera Settings, I receive the following error:

" 'Fill in the preset I select here' doesn't seem a well formed camera preset. Possibly the present file has been corrupted. "

On another note, does anyone know how to properly import images into the timeline? I have an 11x17 A3 scanner, but it doesn't work with my Mac since I installed El Capitan. So I actually scan my animation drawings using an old Windows laptop, then import them on this computer for the rendering/testing of my animations. I was able to drag and drop my image file into the main camera view area, but when I do, the image becomes extremely small. Here's a screenshot.

If anyone is able to help me out, that would be great. If I can't get OpenToonz to work, it's not a big deal, as I have used other methods to get my hand-drawn animation on screen without using        animation software at all.

I had the same problem with camera presets, but I found out that if you asign a 16/9 (16:9) ratio to A/R (aspect ratio), it will lock the resolution in a ratio that allows you to set -for example- a 1920x1080 scene.
Hope it helps!

That worked to let me change the resolution, at the very least. Thank you!

But there are still many problems I need to solve. For example, when I resize my drawing to 1920x1080, and I drag and drop the image into the camera viewer, it still does not fill the entire screen.

I am not sure, just imagining... Maybe that image you want to fit has less DPI (dots per inch) than you have specified in the camera settings.
Tell me something if it works!

The DPI was actually 1200 in the original image, as far as I can tell. When I changed that, I got an even smaller image this time.

I am sorry but I cannot help you any longer now with this issue. Try to scale it manually, try to find a Fit to composition (or something similar). I do not know... You can always touch things like a smart child with caution.

Try watching some Scanning Cleanup video tutorials for Toonz Harlequin on Youtube. I think it will help you with this.

I am still a beginner on OpenToonz.
I can not even create new styles for painting images because the software crashes.
I do not know who will be helping us out... I do not see anyone from Dwango, Studio Ghibli, DigitalVideo, Toonz or OpenToonz staff helping users.

Hey, no worries. I just wanted to post this as an open question to anyone who may have discovered how to do what I am attempting. I'm sure someone will translate the Japanese PDF documentation eventually, and people are already posting tutorials on Youtube.

Okay, problem solved! (of course, I still have many other problems with this software, the primary one being that OpenToonz 1.0 is so glitchy that it makes me think Dwango should have postponed the release. I'm not sure I can really use this program until the bugs have been fixed for the next release.)

The problem was that I was confusing the Global Cleanup Settings for the Camera Settings.
When I clicked under the XSheet tab, and clicked on Camera Settings, and readjusted the settings there, I was able to fit my drawings into the program.
