What you see is a trick. :)

In OpenToonz it is currently impossible to do that.

Sometimes, especially when you use many colors, you need to erase some colors and not affect other colors. The "Selective" option allows us to erase only one selected color. Is it possible to do so since on this video? (But without a trick)

Thanks for the screen capture!

You're going to have to come up with a more difficult request!  :)

Yes, OpenToonz can do it!

First, start with a Toonz Raster Level (other modes might work but I haven't tested)
Then, using the Erase Tool... Make sure the checkbox on the tool menu (at the top) for "Selective" is checked.
This will cause only the color you have selected to be erased.

The options in the various tools are well worth exploring.
For instance, the erase tool can be set to only erase Lines, Lines and Areas or just Areas.
When used with the "Selective" option that allows us to erase only specifically colored lines.
That can be particularly useful if we draw a series of guide lines in one color and then 'ink' them with another color later.
We can then go in and remove some of those guide lines based on their specific color.
I note that this is a particularly useful way to quickly create patterns with lines and/or areas.

This is also very useful for creating highlights and shadows on characters as specific areas/colors can be freehand selected and erased.

An area for future enhancement might be to allow multiple colors from the style editor to be selected and then all of those colors would be erased.
An additional 'invert' option would safeguard those colors and erase everything else.
Of the two (multiple colors and invert) I would think invert would be the better as users could achieve the effect of removing multiple colors through inversion.

I agree.
But the future has not yet come, and if you select two colors, then only one color will be erased (the first one selected)
