tablet lag - try a new keyframe?

Hello.
I have found my pen tablet lag is cell based..
When I do lots of sketching on a key pose with a raster brush then the tablet latency gets worse to the point where I can't draw anymore.
However, when I make a new key frame on the same layer the tablet lag goes away.
But, if I select, cut and paste my drawing from the laggy key frame then the new key frame will become laggy, as well.

Clearing the Cache Folder (File>Clear Cache Folder) doesn't seem to make any difference.

Also, if I go back up in my History window the lag goes away (but it deletes my drawing!)
So, when I use a raster brush it looks like the Opentoonz memory allocated for that keyframe fills up until the drawing tools are fully seized, even though Opentoonz is using about 3% of the CPU.

Is there a way to delete the 'history' of a key frame and still retain the sketch?
The pen lag seems to remain with that key frame even when I Save All, Quit and reLoad the same scene.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I found the fastest Raster brushes are:
  1. plain colour (a.k.a. No brush) Smooth set to 0 - I can do heaps of strokes before lag sets in. [I can't set the opacity to my pen pressure. Beacuse I can't make soft construction lines it is hard to use for sketching.]
  2. kaerhon_v1\classic_sk.myb - Light pressure means light strokes. Good for roughing out sketches then pressing harder to get some definition.
  3. kaerhon_v1\airsmudgeultimate_sk.myb  - Light pressure gives a light airbrush spray. Good for making the general form. Harder pressure makes the line sharper so you can do fine detail with the same brush.
  4. Ramon\Sketch_1.myb Lovely brush but Opentoonz seizes up the most quickly of the brushes in this list.
{My work around for sketching. Use plain colour, No brush, with a light colour style and 50% alpha for construction lines. Use a new style 100% black for the line work. Then do the cleanup on a new level.}
Sorry for the long post.
