I tried it and it is very good, very stable, it runs on my older osx system out of the box.
It comes with render farm and nice batch tools.
I have 5 days left on the trial and so far I cleaned, coloured and composed a 1 minute animation with very satisfactory results.
I have used Retas and the most expensive flavour of Toon Boom in the past, and ofcourse Opentoonz. Formerly I was doing the compositions in Shake and more recently Fusion. This is my favourite.
The quotes I got from Toonz on render nodes, upgrades, and support are all reasonable.
When I chose Toon Boom years ago, Toonz had no trial, I think I would had chosen differently back then if I would had been able to try.
Toon Boom made mistakes on every single bill they ever wrote to me in all those years and kept me ranting for weeks, so I am definitively very happy to migrate.
