Sometimes, I want to render a scene without certain layers, without having to delete those layers.  But if I make a column invisible in OpenToonz, it still renders in the output.  Is there any way to get around this without deleting the column temporarily?  Otherwise, this is a feature worth implementing.

the orange button toggles the view of the layer in the table, the green eye turns it off in the render. (another option is to go into your  Fx schematic and disconnect the column from the xsheet. (which should be tied to your output) )

Thanks!  On a similar note, the opacity slider, that you get when you hold down the mouse on the orange bar, doesn't affect the render.  I assume there is some way to modify the transparency of objects for rendering.  Any idea how?

oh my gosh!! thats awesome!! lol I didn't know that was there. as for lowering the opacity in render go to FX right click on the level you want to lower the opacity to>insert FX> Image_adjust> Adjust levels. double click on the fx (adjust levels) and you should get options for adjusting your RGB levels as well as your alpha.
