Nordic nRF5340 support?

Hi,
Does anyone familiar with the nRF52 implementation have an idea of the effort to add support for the nRF53?  The ublox NORA-100 series modules are built with the new nRF5340.

It looks like the NrfConnect SDK 1.4.99 supports thread and the 5340 chip, I think it’s the first support, so…

AFAIK the nrf53 only has support for openthread using zephyr w/ the sdk-nrf (1.4.99-dev1).

I believe there will be a new release of the "nRF SDK for Thread and Zigbee" w/ support for the nrf53 for projects that don't use zephyr, as I don't think nordic will support openthread only on zephyr.

Steven raised a point that apparently Nordic will only support thread 1.2 and above in the nRF Connect SDK, and he seems to be correct.

There was a "webinar" in early november that Nordic stated exactly what he said:

So indeed, it seems like nordic will only support thread >=1.2 only in the nRF Connect SDK (w/ zephyr dependency), and for now all you have w/ support for the nrf53 is the 1.4.99-dev1 release.
