Used Web GUI to form Thread

External thread commissioner mobile app shows the available boarder router, when i try to connect to BR, in app bottom shows connection failed then prompt for thread admin password, after enter the same passphrase which is used to form the thread BR network it takes more than 10-15 sec to process and showing "Password is incorrect", "Connection failed". Any one have this issue and need help to fix this issue

Hi Muthu,

Are you using latest openthread, wpantund and borderrouter? There were some changes being made recently, any part may cause incompatible issues if not up to date. Could you please pull the latest code and try again?

And for openthread, i used the Texas instrument latest sdk (simplelink_cc26x2_sdk_2_20_00_36) on cc26x2r1 lanchpad

I am using Raspberry Pi3 for BR as device.

I followed the steps given in https://openthread.io/guides/border-router/build, Manual commission using the command on terminal working fine. But in mobile can't able to connect to the thread network.

$ sudo wpanctl commissioner -e

Commissioner command applied.

$ sudo wpanctl commissioner -a J01NU5 000b57fffebe5874

Joiner added.

There were some incompatible issues with the old mobile app. Are you using the latest mobile app?

I installed the app from google play store on android version 7.0, recently 3 days back. Is there is any git source for app?. If have .apk or git source please send the link i will check and update.

Hi yakun xu,

I download the RaspPi_OT_Border_Router_Demo_v1.0.0-1.alpha.img from Nordic semiconductor, now thread commissioner mobile app connected :-), I don't know exactly where the issue is, in mobile app or OTBR installation. I followed the steps given in openthread.io.

I am having problems using the external commissioner app. (Android) as well.

I am using a RasPi 3 as OTBR with nRF52840 DK as NCP. I can commission OK using wpanctl but no luck with the external commissioner app.

The external commissioner app. gets the mDNS advertisement so can pick up the addresses - I pick 192.168.1.2. Using Wireshark on wlan0, I can see the ClientHello but there is no response. I also see in syslog that it says :

at the point the ClientHello goes out and the data looks like a ClientHello. Using Segger RTT Client it also seems to appear and a response appears to go out:

But I don't see any evidence of the MbedtlsTransmit going any further. Any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks for the fix. The commissioner app now connects successfully to the ot-br for me as well now.
