Dear all,

Thank you so much for your concerted efforts and investments into this hackathon! Every minute of yours makes our community more open, more welcoming, and more interwoven. I am happy that you were so brave to reach out to a bunch of unknowns-until-then, to join something completely voluntarily. You are opening up science and knowledge. (You really are!)

Depending on your timezone and availability, the hackathon may come to an end very soon. For me, it's Friday morning, and I won't hack much on the weekend. But maybe a bit... and I will definitely check out Matrix all of the time ;)

I am just reaching out to encourage you to take the opportunity to also share about you, personally, and to connect with others about your interests. Maybe you can offer a time slot or two in the next week, and invite people to talk with you for 30 minutes about shared interests?

Usually, things are not finished even when the hackathon week is over. I will send you a survey to learn more about your experience, and then we can decide together how to continue.

Looking forward to hearing from you in the Matrix channel or here or elsewhere :)

Have a great day!

Dear all,

You participated in the hackathon or at least wanted to? I would love to hear your thoughts!

What worked well, what didn't, and everything else: here comes our post-hackathon survey! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSftLIo6tdcJ51U9hje2aQ40nL1IZQ6UprWZi3AzYrC7mdSrDA/viewform?usp=dialog

It means a lot to me when you take the time to answer it (expect 5 to 10 minutes to answer it, at least that's my pessimistic estimate).

Thanks to all of you for being part of this hackathon and hope to see you around in our community and elsewhere, too! If you want to stay in touch, our mailing list is a great place to start: https://groups.google.com/g/opentecr

Best,
   Robert
