Hope that you are surviving, a sunny day has made all the difference to me today! 

I have a Bursary scheme open currently for artists and people working in the arts living/working in Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest. It is in association with Civic Sate & Hackney Wick Underground and supported by Foundation for Future London's Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund.

Helping Artists Make Work - EAST, in association with Civic State & Hackney Wick Underground. Supported by Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund.

Coaching support for 25 artists and people working in the arts to help them navigate the challenges and impacts of the Covid-19 global pandemic on their work.

Each selected artist will receive a bursary to attend a course of five 75 minute coaching sessions from artist coach Lexi Zelda Stevens, in association with Civic State & Hackney Wick Underground and supported by Westfield Eastbank Creative Futures Fund. 

Open to professional artists and people working in the arts in all artforms, who are outside of formal education living or working in Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham or Waltham Forest. Particularly those facing significant financial challenges, either pre-existing or as a direct result of the pandemic. Selected artists are asked to contribute the first £15 of coaching costs if they can, or they can receive a full Bursary if this is not possible.

In 2020 with the support of Arts Council Wales and Green Man Trust we commissioned five Welsh artists to screen digital works: Megan Broadmeadow, Calum McCutcheon, Jennifer Taylor, Sean Harris and Gweni Llwyd.  Meanwhile, I pivoted our commissioning and artist development programme to support as many artists as possible. 19 previously commissioned and prospective artists attended a 2-day, paid online artist residency, with invited speakers Peter Bonnell, QUAD; Maitreyi Meshwari, FACT; Helen Starr Afro Carib Activist/ Mechatronic Library; and Rachel Cunningham Clarke, Forma.
