High points of 2020- yes there were some!

TURF Projects, Croydon
In September I worked with one of my favourite artist-led organisations TURF Projects in Croydon, leading a free workshop in Goal Setting and Planning for 15 artists online as part of its fantastic Groundwerk Programme

Green Man Festival Wales, Field of Streams
I set up the visual arts programme at Green Man in 2015 with artist development at it's heart. In 2020 with the support of Arts Council Wales and Green Man Trust we commissioned five Welsh artists to screen digital works: Megan Broadmeadow, Calum McCutcheon, Jennifer Taylor, Sean Harris and Gweni Llwyd.

Meanwhile, I pivoted our commissioning and artist development programme to support as many artists as possible. 19 previously commissioned and prospective artists attended a 2-day, paid online artist residency, with invited speakers Peter Bonnell, QUAD; Maitreyi Meshwari, FACT; Helen Starr Afro Carib Activist/ Mechatronic Library; and Rachel Cunningham Clarke, Forma.
Plus I carried out 40 one-to-one coaching sessions with artists in Wales, joined by Megan, Peter and Helen.

Proud to have supported over 70 artists in 2020!
It was an immensely challenging year, like none encountered before. The arts is among the industries hardest hit. From working with the artists that I have in 2020, I have hope for the future & renewed faith in the creative potential of humans. Huge thanks to Nick Zienau Intelligent Action who's generosity seeded so much. Keep being kind x
