I am pulling back my efforts for openSUSE Georgia temporarily due to
the large amount of schoolwork I have been dealing with recently.
Also, due to the low traffic in the team, I have been considering
shutting the team down. It is obvious that the openSUSE community is
not ready for such an endeavor as local teams, and may take some
development before it reaches that point. I would like some feedback
on whether or not anyone would like to lead the team in my absence,
and thoughts on continuing the team. I believe if we find that
participation will be too difficult for operation, then we should shut
the team down, since it will not be worth my time or yours.
All the best,
Jon
Jon, don't shut down the team, but maybe lets keep this open so that
people can use it to communicate on. I know you have been working
hard on this, and it should keep going. I am sorry I haven't been keep
up or going to the meetings, but family and work keep me so busy. I
am lucky to do the Ambassador program.
So again, keep it open. Do what you have to do. We can use the google
group as a means to work on one day getting a meeting and answering
questions are are very suse related.

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD, an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
Studio a try. www.susestudio.com
I agree the mailing list should be left open.
As to meetings, etc. I don't quite know the benefit and life keeps me busy.
I do like the idea of launch parties. I'm sorry I missed the one at
ALE recently.
If nothing else this mailing list could be used to organize them from
time to time. 11.3 is due out in Mid-July. (ie. 5 months from now).
Maybe we should discuss doing something around that.
Greg
That's understandable as you have many irons in the fire.
