openSUSE Georgia updates

Hello everyone,

Tonight we held our first face to face meeting, and even though it was
a bit small, there was some good discussion and ideas that reflected
the growing community around us. Specifically, we discussed possible
topics for a future openSUSE installfest.

*in other news*

We now have the green light to create our own IRC channel. I am not
sure what all is involved with creating an IRC channel, but I imagine
with some tinkering we can get something set up soon. If anyone has
any insight to this, help would be greatly appreciated. Once we have
something set up, I have been told that we might be able to make it
official.

Also, we also have a stash of CDs, courtesy of Joe Brockmeier,
Community Manager of openSUSE. He sent 75 DVDs, dual-sided 32 and 64
bit. I gave away a few tonight but still have over 50 left. This
stash will be important to have around just in case we have people who
need disks or have an opportunity to spread some openSUSE goodness.
