With the plans for a face to face meeting in early December, I thought
I would run a few options by everyone. I have noticed that there are
no events planned for the openSUSE 11.2 release in the Atlanta area.
So, there's a few things we could do:
1) face to face meeting - as planned, a good chance for everyone to
get to know one another
2) release party - like the face to face meeting, only with some CDs,
laptops, and a bigger focus on openSUSE
3) install fest - held usually in a large room, where people can get
to work on installing and troubleshooting their Linux installations
and hang out with others in the Linux community
Of interesting note, Joe Brockmeier, Community Manager for the
openSUSE project, has told me that depending on the date, he would
like to get some swag and head on down to the event. This could be a
great opportunity to get to know some folks in the openSUSE community.
Let me know what y'all think!
Thanks,
Jon

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD, an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
Studio a try.

I'm all for an earlier event, so as soon as you know the details,
please send out a notice. Obviously nothing has been set in stone yet
for a meeting in December, so changing plans will not be a problem.
;)
Thanks!
Jon
I have no objections to any of the suggestions.
