Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone has knowledge on how to texture open subdiv models in substance painter. I'm just confused on the workflow. If I have my final model in Maya created with my model in Sub D mode with the 3 Key on is there a special way to export my model so it retails the proxy sub div levels to texture on. I just can't find any information on this subject. Do I have to export a separate version of my model with real subdivisions applied, because wouldn't the textures stretch drastically if I where to texture the un-subdivided model with the 1 key on and then import the texture maps back to the Maya model and press the 3 key to go to Sub D mode?
