Are we including animal hospitals/veterinary clinics in the hospitals/
Medical center edits?

No. They have two different FCodes.

Just to expand on what Andi said--

Although we are only collecting 30 structures, there are hundreds of different structures in our data model.  Therefore labeling an animal hospital or veterinary clinic as a hospital/medical center would be incorrect because we do have a Veterinary/hospital/clinic FCode that we are not currently collecting.  To see a list of the other FCodes please take a look at the structures data model located here: http://nationalmap.gov/structures.html
