raspberry moonpi using storage pod design

ok so the idea is to have a stripped down raspberry pi connected to a 2.5" hdd all inside the space of a 3.5" hdd. the project will attempt to mirror the hp moonshot while costing a fraction of the price. i have attached a sketchup file of the cartridge design (excuse my crummy 3d modelling skills) seen as they are the same size as 3.%' hard drives i was wondering if i could use a modified storage pod design to mount them in
