Is there still a gap in energy capping ?

Dear Dr Anton
I'm a trying to become a cloud researcher.
I want to work on one of your thesis's future works items, namely power capping.
Could you please let me know if there is still the power capping gap related to dynamic power aware VM consolidation?
What's the state of the art about power capping in OpenStack? e.g, : Extending the openstack neat in power capping ?

Dear Yaser,

Thanks for your interest. I think power capping in dynamic VM consolidation is not solved yet. Extending OpenStack Neat to address that could be one potential direction. I haven't had a chance to do more work on this topic except for what's already discussed in my PhD thesis. I imagine there could be more recent publications on this topic, which you might want to look up online. Good luck with your work!
