Hi OzStackers

Thanks to everyone that came along on Monday night to our tri-city
meetup. It was great to see so many new faces and so many regulars!

We will post the slides up on the AOSUG website because the video
streamed to YouTube didn't quite come out as planned (unless you want to
look at the guys in Brisbane eating pizza for an hour or so, some
intermittent pictures of my google+ profile pic, and some blurry slides)

A few things I didn't mention on Monday night:

1. I really want to encourage you all to please join the foundation at
https://www.opensatck.org/join/ and become part of OpenStack officially!
You can....
- Get active in the OpenStack community as a user, developer, business
person, art maker, or however you want to contribute
- Run for an elected position such as Project Technical Lead for projects
you contribute to, Technical Committee Member, or Foundation Board of
Directors Member
- Vote in elections such as for the Board of Directors
- Stay informed of the latest OpenStack news through member updates (I
promise you want get spam! they send very few emails out!)

2. Come and see us today and/or tomorrow at CeBit at Darling Harbour. We
are doing live demonstrations of OpenStack installs and operations. You
can get in free by using our code when you register: openlsk08

3. Martin has nominated June 24 for a next Melbourne meetup. I'd like to
do one in Sydney too on the same day. We've had feedback that we need to
do some entry level OpenStack presentations and demonstration, because
we have a lot of new members that are new to OpenStack. We'll continue
to see this so I think regular "OpenStack 101" meetups are warranted?!?
So I'm calling for sponsors for a location and beer and pizza for Sydney
for June 24, and I'm sure Martin would like some assistance with
Melbourne. Any other locations, please join in too, we will do another
google hangout as well.

4. We're also seeing lots of feedback that people want talks on
operations - from people who have OpenStack in production. So, whether
the coming meetup or the next, we hope to arrange an operations special.
If you want to speak about your real-world operations experiences - let
us know!

That's all for now, see you at CeBit today I hope.

Cheers,

Tristan
