I want to work with game data where I can find each player coordinates on the field during a whole game. I want to study the choreography of a group of players (the defense line for example).

Any hint where I can find this kind of stuff?

I don't know if Opta is the only place I can look for this.

Hello,

The best collection / guide for finding (open) football data is
Joe Kampschmidt's "Guide to Football/Soccer data and APIs" [1].

An alternative is the Awesome Football [2] collection / page @
Planet Open Data - by yours truly. If you find something, let us know.
Cheers.

I'm intetested in the same thing, I am doing a project for an analytics course at a University in the USA.  I've been using Splunk and applying it to different publicly available datasets on other topics, but I'd like to heatmap premier league soccers matches and also look at passing attempts/completions/giveaways, all kinds of data.  I'll share what I find, and if my work has value I don't mind posting it.
