Personally I rarely use Facebook and dislike it... and I guess there's
some risk of dilution if we have discussion on Facebook and via Google
Groups (though I personally would very rarely participate in
discussion on Facebook anyway...). But I agree Facebook is a very
useful publicity tool....
Twitter may also be worth pursuing; I do use that regularly.... But
building up a serious Twitter following would require some effort,
which I don't have time for. (For example, someone could write a
script to find people who send tweets using certain words, and then
have the opensourceparty twitter account follow those people, and a
certain percentage will follow back... that's one way to build a big
following, but it takes time and effort...)
