The development group [0] of LUGRo-Mesh [1] announces that already
it's avalaible the second release of the firmware Nightwing [2],
version 0.6-beta1 [3].

Nightwing allows the creation of Wireless Mesh Networks [4], with a
fast and easy deployment. Requires an Atheros wireless chip, and a
minimum of 4MB of flash memory and 16MB of RAM memory. It can be
instaled in devices from Ubiquiti like the NanoStation, from Accton
like the Fonera 2200, and many more devices that cover the minimun
requirements.

Some of the new characteritics introduced are:
* Use of the protocol B.A.T.M.A.N.-Experimental (BMX) [5]
* The Public conection Interface es now managed by the cautive portal
WiFiDog [6].
* Each Access Point has an unic SSID for every node.
* A WiFiDog server [7] is avalaible for the LUGRo-Mesh Network. Thanks
to Maximiliano Müller of SitiosHispanos.com for suplying a VPS for the
server.

The group has mailing list for the Nightwing firmaware [8] and for the
group it self [9].

Also, it's avalaible the repository of the LUGRo-Mesh Development Group [10].
