Mike,

If you sent anything in the message body it seems to have got lost.
Anyway, in the days when we ran a Locust World mesh in our village in
north Leicestershire we found that for most purposes 8db onmi "stick"
antenna worked best. Higher values caused problems because the vertical
spread of the signal was too restricted, though 12db directional antenna
were useful on a long link (1.7km) and for clients not doing any forwarding.
