Hi

as you can see (or perhaps you have already seen) nodes was been
automagically upgraded to rv1202-c171. The most important change in
c171 is a new /etc/sysctl.conf which disables antenna management: we
register a better signal with this kernel settings, testing this
change will be apreciated (naturally you have to power cycle the nodes
in order sysctl.conf take its effects).

Speaking about the radio on/off problem... if you take a look at my
test accont on open-mesh.com (the account is anselmi) you'll see that
there is no user activity but nodes are still alive so I do not
believe that "working users" is a real solution to your problem. You
can also look at Skynet2 test account.

I use batmand rv780 while you run rv828... maybe we can try changing
the daemon release. Be carefull: the two revisions (780 and 828) are
not compatible so you want to test with batmand rv 780 you have to
install this revision in all nodes.
Istructions are simple: stop the daemon (/etc/init.d/batman stop) and
force the installation issuing ipkg -force-overwrite (or similia
option). Then reboot nodes.
The used batmand releases are available in SVN:
https://www2.hosted-projects.com/trac/ansanto/robin/browser/UPGRADES/

Thanks for reports! and sorry for my not-perfect english :)

Antonio

Thanks Antonio,

Ours are still on c132... will powercycle nodes to get them to take up c171
and will monitor any changes!

Your English is great BTW!

Will have to look at rv780/828 implications

Our test mesh is SnS and am looking at your suggestions now...

One of our guys philip is still working on porting ROBIN to intel486's .
openwrt modified, now philip is chipping away at getting BATMAN/ROBIN over

Cheers,

ian
