Hi Ian,

Hope all goes well with SNS

We are replacing  LW meshbox pro and OS networks as fast as we can now with more than half our networks complete.

We have opted for a simple approach with a flat level 2 UBNT networks for simplicity. We then use Pfsense at the gateway as UAM and Dalo radius if we need hotspot facility but normally auth is not required.  We use a mix of 5Ghz  for infrastructure and both for CPE, the whole network is private and client devices are in router mode. NO LAPTOPS on the core network and we control loading on each access point.  We experience no losses regardless of hop count and currently delivering about 16meg to each user. We feel ready for next generation radio networks

The new M series we have had a little experience with these last week now stable software is available and the results are pretty impressive. Real world 100 meg throughput we have achieved with 20 chains. At 2.4Ghz we see very good compatibilty with legacy with a big improvement in S/N by about 6 db at the client ends very much higher sync rates and CCQ near 100%.

We are starting projects now with NYNET to install next generation delivering 20 meg symetrical and 100meg when it comes available as the core network wil now handle it.

Its nice to be one step ahead of the fibre folk!!

Fi-Wi has arrived.
Keep it simple!!

Good Luck

Nick

Ok I will claim rookie here and the number of TLA's is getting to me.  Could someone give
me a quick pointer to links to explain:

SNS
UBNT
UAM
CCQ

Thanks for understanding and the assistance.  Direct rather than list reply is OK.
