Hi All,

OSCurrency continues to go through some exciting updates as we build our user community.

We have 3 announcements for you.

First, We are going back to the original repo so, if necessary, please revert the change to .git/config mentioned in the previous message. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/opensourcecurrency/HgClAVteRnE

We merged with the Vermont Resilience Lab code late last yeat to get onto Open Collective – which was successful! But it seemed clearer to keep the organizations separate so https://github.com/oscurrency/oscurrency lives on.

You can find our Open Collective page at: https://opencollective.com/oscurrency. The page is just started which means there isn't much there, yet. Stay tuned. You'll be able to follow our progress, contribute, or come on board as a paid programmer for the project. Our sponsor for this is Sarapis Foundation which leads to the next announcement...

Second, we are excited to have partnered with Sarapis Foundation! Their mission: “Sarapis helps free/libre/open-source projects, nonprofits and grassroots community groups benefits from the best practices of each other. We assist people who are dedicated to working collaboratively with their peers to share knowledge and improve the effectiveness of critical sectors of our society.“

Founder Devin Balkind notes that their involvement is focused on the creation of a full featured mutual credit system which will democratize and expand already established local trade networks, time banks and the reciprocal trade industry, which is responsible for facilitating over $6 billion worth of trade annually in the US.

Third, we would love to reconnect with you! It may have been some time since you used OSCurrency or contributed to it. If you're interested in being a part of our community going forward, we would love to work with you. We're working, planning, writing business plans and grants, and sharing some big visions and laughs along the way. You can join our slack to learn more: https://oscurrency.slack.com/messages/C92FRGSGZ/

Thank you for all your support – we look forward to continuing to bring you exciting updates about OSCurrency.
