Intro and first query

Hi All

Im a newbie here so please be gentle.
I saw Tonys mail to the BHX group last night and am interested in
using the DB.

My first question is....There seems to be various versions of MySQL
available,Which one should i use ?.

Hi John

Use the latest stable release, for whichever version of the operating
system you use. For example, if you have a 32bit installation of Windows use

Or for 64 bit use

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mirror.php?id=403448

These come using a standard installation type program, I hope that helps.

Install, and setup MySQL as outlined in the following document
