Arduino Board and Firmware

Okay...I have been having a ton of trouble here.  On my first attempt and putting in a new Arduino board (Mega 2560) everything went well, but I couldn't print any raster files.  I tried redownloading and reinstalling the firmware several times.  The problem is definitely in my board/firmware because I sent my gcode files to other users and the files printed correctly.  I also tried verified files from other users and they still crashed.  The problem is that when I print rasters the laser won't drop down to the next line.  It just continues travelling to the right until it grinds against the end.

So, I thought maybe it was my board.  I purchased a new board and spent the day rewiring it.  Now, I can install the firmware but I just end up with communication errors.  From Repetier Host I just get "Commands Waiting."  I've changed the baude rate, reinstalled the firmware, etc.  Nothing.

Is there someone that would be willing to program my board, verify that it is working and send it back to me?  I'm willing to pay.  I'm just getting super frustrated...I've spent months on this without making progress so I'm getting desperate.

Here are some pictures of my wiring setup for the new board.  I was able to upload the firmware and the computer recognizes it when I connect it.  However, it doesn't receive any commands from Repetier Host.
