Hello everyone,

I have a question about the raster function in the turnkeylaser exporter.
Let me explain what I did.

I downloaded all the plugin files from github.

I placed the turnkeylaser.inx and turnkeylaser.py in the share/extensions folder. (at first I thought this was enough. The vector function works but the rasterfunction doesn't)

I installed the plugin  with python. (following the readme) (I had to name the python folder 'python-old', but it doesn't get replaced by a new 'python' folder)

After that both functions didnt work. if you push the apply-button, the small windows with 'turnkey laser exporter is working' flashes for a moment and than nothing happens.
Did I do something wrong or am I a noob? (I am a newbie)
In my head says that the python-old folder needs a replacement.
I hope you can help me out.

Let me guess: you're on Windows?  If so, the problem might be that the _imaging Python module is not installed. If that is the case, that fact will be embedded in a rather massive set of error messages appearing in the little window that comes up when you start the Turnkey Laser extension. Unfortunately, getting the _imaging module involves some extensive work, including recompiling the Python interpreter. I have a lengthy document detailing how -- reply with your email if you would like me to send it to you. It might be simpler to run it on a Linux computer -- install Inkscape and just copy the two files (turnkeylaser.py and turnkeylaser.inx) to /usr/share/inkscape/extensions and you're in business.

Hi Robert,

I am also on windows and very interested in your document explaining how to get it working.
Would you be willing to sent it to me ?

Kind regards,
