Opensong fails to load after updating to V6.8.7

  Hello Gareth

I have just updated to Version 6.8.7 on my Amazon Fire 10. However when I try to start it I see a white screen and the app shuts down.

When I went to look for the Crashlog there isn't one. It looks like the app crashed before getting to the point of being able to create the log file.

Hi Graham,

Sorry to hear that!  I can't see anything obvious in the Amazon App Store logs for a FireHD10, although I can see some issues for FireHD7.  I've made some changes and uploaded a replacement file.  If you are happy to install manually from the apk file, you can find the updated v6.8.7 on my downloads page.  You can also manually install v6.8.6 from there as well if it worked before the last update.

Unfortunately, no luck. As you suggested I downloaded the 6.8.7 APK and then installed it. However when I started the App the same thing happened as before.

I uninstalled the 6.8.7 version and installed 6.8.6 using the APK that I had downloaded earlier, and that works fine.

I know I am using old tech, so that might be a factor. If so I am happy to stick with 6.8.6 and ignore any updates. As it stands the Opensongapp is brilliant. It does everything that I need it to.

Thanks for the update.  I'll go through my code changes between v6.8.6 and v6.8.7 to see if I can figure out what the issue is.  It will be down to a library or code reference that I use on Google play devices that doesn't exist on Amazon devices.

I'll let you know if I find anything else
