Hi Gareth,
Me and my wife are using your app for a while now.
Since we can legaly use the Chordpro files of songselect newly  we're having issues importing them properly. I tried it with the free version of Songbook Pro, it works fine there.
In the attachment you can see, what my OpenSongApp 6.6.2 is doing with it.
Am I doing something wrong? Is it a known bug with a fix? Or do I have to be a little bit patient?

Thanks so much for your work and your effort you put in it!

Hi Manu,

I don't have that feature on SongSelect, so I cannot test this, but if you can download an chordpro file, you can certainly import it into OpenSongApp.  This looks like the app has copied the chordpro data into the lyrics of an operating formatted file.  Did you try to download this directly in the using the online search feature of OpenSongApp?  This method listens for downloads and then intercepts them (it expects pdf files so just copies them).  If so, I will try to check for this.
In the meantime, can you download a chordpro file from SongSelect using your chrome browser and then import this song into OpenSongApp (Settings>Song actions>Add songs>File and then select your downloaded chordpro file).  This will check that OpenSongApp can process the chordpro file correctly.

Hi Manu,

I've spotted what the problem is.  SongSelect, for some reason is downloading the chordpro file as a text file (with the .txt extension).  I just checked this with a public domain song that I can test.  When I tried this, the file is named: hark-the-herald-angels-sing-mendelssohn-chordpro-F.txt

If you manually change the ending from .txt to a valid chordpro file extension (.crd, .cho, .chopro) OpenSongApp will import it correctly.  What I will add to the next release is a check for importing a song that has ends with .txt but has -chordpro- in the filename and treat it as a chordpro file.

I've attached what I see before the fix (using the file with the wrong extension) and what you will see if you manually change the file extension of the file before importing, or wait until the next app update (the fix is ready to go, but I have quite a few big changes with the metronome and new drummer feature to finish)
