Can I use the Android camera to take two photos in a row, for example the front and back of a song, which will then appear as two sides in one song?

Unfortunately not. Photos/images are separate files and would be treated as separate songs.
Once you download the PDF, in OpenSongApp, go to Settings > Add songs > File
What you can do though is take photos of your pages using your camera app, then use a free online PDF creator to merge these images into a PDF file that can then be imported into OpenSongApp
