Hello!

So far, great app!

If I wanted to swipe left or right on my tablet to change pages from my PDF song, how do I do that? I can only scroll up and down.

Hi,

Currently the only way to do that is to use your tablet in landscape mode and make sure you have set the autoscale to full and have switched on the horizontal pdf mode in the advanced display settings (see attached)

Ok. Thank you.  Maybe in the future that can be implemented? (Like turning the pages in a book....)

That's how it works with OpenSong formatted songs in the app, with a page for each song.  This also used to be how PDF files were shown in the app in v5, but the tricky part with multiple paged PDF files is that having each page requiring a separate swipe breaks the autoscroll feature - there was an abrupt change of page after a certain time rather than gradually scrolling to the next page.  Due to requests to have the PDF show as a continuous scroll, I moved away from that in v6.  I will have a think about it and see if there is a workaround (likely an option to force this mode but accepting that the autoscroll won't work).  Obviously the app is really designed for OpenSong formatted songs but PDF and image files are partially supported.

Best wishes,
Gareth

Hello, how are you?

The app is truly the best, without a doubt. The only drawback is that it doesn't have the option to change pages. This is undoubtedly the most important feature for musicians who use tablets and page-turning pedals. I humbly request that you reconsider enabling this option in the app. Anyone who wants to use it should do so, knowing that the page-scrolling feature will be disabled, which is already the case with other similar apps.

Please enable this option; the program will be simply perfect in every way.

Sincerely, Heleno.

Hello Heleno.

As a long time user of OSA, I have not had any issues using my Bluetooth pedal to scroll or flip between songs.  The only difference is I don't use pdf as my song source.  I have the lyrics and chords typed in or imported as a text file,  either as opensong format or Chordpro.

Because a pdf file can't be interpreted as what size page, scroll is not able to determine a page scroll accurately.  I have heard of some users that do page 1 and page 2 etc as separate songs,  and then the pedal can be set to advance to next song on set list.  But that's a personalized tweak I'm sure.
