Hi folks

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A  Model SM-P555 which is quite old. Running Android 7.1.1

I have no issues in Performance mode but prefer using Stage mode.

In Stage mode the symptoms are the following:

1. When I tap on the screen it scrolls past where it should. I have to exit and restart to solve this. This sometimes happens during a session without having made any changes. However, it happens intermittently after I have adjusted the scaling.

2. It finds the widest row of text and then repeats it randomly on the RHS as if it has copied some text or chords that it assumes are too wide and repeats it next to other sections as in the screenshot.

I have tried every setting in Settings/Display/Scaling without success. I changed the font and chord sizes. I also played around with the chord scaling.

If I edit the widest text line which is the cause of the problem by splitting it into two rows, it finds the next widest line and the problem starts again.

What is the issue?

Regards
Brian

Thank you for your screenshot and it is clear something very strange is happening.  Behind the actual content is other content that shouldn't be there and is actually other sections.
I think I've got a fix ready that will sort that issue and I'm hoping it is also the cause of the scrolling issue too (but I haven't been able to reproduce that yet) which might be trying to scroll to the original background position rather than the correct section.
I've got a few other updates in progress, but hopefully the fix will be out later this week on the beta channel in the first instance.

To confirm, this isn't a setting, or something you have done, but a bug in the code.

Best wishes,
Gareth
