How to send messages, scraps, e-mail to Orkut user from an external application

Hi
I need to develop an external application (not gadget) that should
send messages, scraps and e-mails to orkut users. I need following
functionality:

- View the list of my application user's online friends on Orkut
- How to send scraps to them.
- How to send messages to them.
- How to send e-mails.
- How to view profiles of his friends.
- How to View/Upload photos.
- How to View/Edit his profile

I understand that OpenSocial API like requestSendMessage(), etc are
existent for Orkut gadgets and can achieve all of above only for
applications running on Orkut. OpenSocial REST APIs are available for
access by external application. In OpenSocial REST APIs also, I was
able to find APIs only for View/Edit Profile and View friends list.
They are in the form of HTTP requests and response from Orkut would be
JSON objects.

I wish to acheive all of above. Could you please indicate if above can
be achieved either directly or by making a gadget for above and my
application interacting with gadget to retrieve above information.

Most of this functionality is already available to an opensocial app
within a container e.g. list of friends, messages, view profiles, view/
upload photos (coming very soon). Scraps, emails, edit profile is not
available. Note that REST APIs are for use for apps within the orkut
container.

I am also developing an application for mobile that would be able to
interact with Orkut. Will it be possible to Add a friend in Orkut
using my application? Does an API (RESTFul or Java Open-client-
library) exist for the same?

currently use of apis from outside orkut container is not possible (other than through friendconnect, which is not available for mobile). add friend is not possible even with opensocial api within orkut container.
