Request for changing the default policy to access Albums and MediaItems

However, since they aren't related to the original topic of that
thread, I decided to create a new one for them:

After testing the RESTful service to access Albums, I noticed that, if
friend1 and friend2 both have installed the gadget and given access to
albums, it is not possible for friend1 to request the albums of
friend2 (I get a notAuthorized error).
This should certainly be possible! And it would be nice if friend1
could access friend2's albums even if friend2 hasn't installed the
gadget.
The idea is that, since you can browse your friends' albums using
Orkut, you should be able to do the same via a gadget. As example, the
Facebook API allows that.

I also noticed that, when installing a gadget, the checkbox "Allow
access to photos" is not checked by default. I hope that it will be
checked by default when the feature goes to production (like the other
checkboxes).
Reason: Most people just click "Next"/"Ok" without reading and even if
they do many will not know if it should be checked or not. The result
will be that the app will not work, and even if the app shows a
message requesting that feature, it will be too late; most people will
just uninstall the app.

What do you think?
