Announcing the orkut gurus

With the orkut platform launch in India now about one week away and
the app submission form now live for all developers, I'd like to
introduce you all to the official orkut "gurus" who will be taking a
more active role in the group in assisting with development questions
going forward. Most were involved with the limited orkut test launch
and have the first-hand experience necessary for helping you get your

Hi jason and gurus ,
Now i would like to develop an
appliction. which take the user orkut user id and password and
validate them and post the html code in scrap box. This is my project
aim. And also i have to implement this task for myspace, hi5 and what
are the opensocial api implemented sites. Now i am in confusion how to
do this in orkut and other sites.. all ready i have sandbox account.
Please guide me how to achieve this task successfully in orkut and
other site.

Hi Sure,

I think its not yet possible through Orkut API to post scraps. So
using OpenSocial currently you can't put scrap directly from your
application. Google is planning to give this functionality after their
launch. Once they allow, there will be no need for you to get user id
and password of owners to send scraps.

Curently what you are saying is also possible through a application.
There are few applications which does this by crawling your proifle
pages through your userid and password. But I don't think Google will
allow it through their applications. So my friend, you may have to
wait for sometime.
