Can't get Orkut user info

Hi,

I have a feature in my app that requires to get details (user name and
their profile picture) of users those who are using the application. I
cannot store their name and picture in db, I should get them from the
API everytime I need cause it will kill my db and they may edit their
info anytime.

Is there a way to get this info to show in the app? I badly need this
in my app. Really appreciate anyone can share how this can be done.

I know this is possible in facebook but not sure how that can be done
here.

Hi RS,

   According to the spec, this should be possible by passing the ID of the person you need information for to the request call.  However, this currently doesn't work on Orkut.  I've filed a bug here: http://code.google.com/p/opensocial-resources/issues/detail?id=10  Please go and star that issue to be kept up to date on our progress in fixing it.
