Either email addresses are anonymous for this group or you need the view member email addresses permission to view the original message

As far as I can tell, the "User Preferences" view does not actually work at all. I can enter values in for each preference, but when I run my gadget locally it always just ends up using the default values. I noticed that the values I entered into the "User Preferences" view are included in the URL but this is apparently ignored. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?
