Let's face it, there's a lot going on. With everything happening in the industry, it sometimes feels like we are all running downhill with scissors. The OpenSocial Foundation is hosting a kickoff meeting for the next rev of the spec. However, it's sometimes good to step back and get a broader perspective of where the industry is headed and, especially, where OpenSocial fits in.

To help us put things in perspective, the OpenSocial Foundation will host a round table where we'll invite key technical leaders to host a discussion on relavent industry topics. The round table will run for 90 minutes fom 4:00 - 5:30. (If you've got a suggestion, don't be shy, post it on the dev list and we'll get right on it!)

Immediately following the Round Table will be some old fashioned social networking over pizza and beer. I do hope that you will join us. As a courtesy to your other community members I'd ask that you keep in mind that space is limited. It's totally uncool if you get a ticket and say you'll attend and then not show up. Depending on how many people we have, we may need to change venues. Don't worry... We'll make sure you know by updating this ticket, sending out an email, twitter, morse code, smoke signals, etc.

Note: If you are already attending the spec working session, there's no need to get a ticket for this event. We're assuming you'll stay for both.

I'm looking forward to working with all of you and, hopefully, seeing as many of you as possible in Palo Alto!
