I think there was a little confusion last week on the board call regarding board support for embedded experience.  I briefly was able to catch up with Mark earlier this week online to get a better understanding of the request.  Mark's intent was to get board support for the foundation registering the embedded experience namespace in IANA.

So this request originated from Andrew Davis and Ryan Baxter. The general issue is that as part of the embedded experiences proposal, a new mime type would need to be registered. Rather than do this from an IBM perspective, it was suggested, and I thought it made sense, that this be done as a request from the OpenSocial Foundation. This is primarily because the embedded experience work is for the spec and not any one company.

This probably got lost in translation. I was not able to attend and asked Jonathan Leblanc to bring it up. I'd like to make sure this is OK with everyone before proceeding.

Thanks,
-Mark W.
