Newbie Question OpenSocial REST Connections

Hello Everyone,

My company is working to use OpenSocial friend data. This would be
information sent from our servers to OpenSocial servers. I gather
this would be an HTTP request to a REST server, and I know it would
authenticate with OAuth, but beyond that, I've had a difficult time
finding out what I do. Is there a standard for what the REST server's
URL is? What OpenSocial REST servers are active now? What's the
protocol for requesting friends data?

I thank you for your time. I've done lots of searching for this
information, and I've tried doing some source diving in Shindig to
find this information, but it's been very slow going.
