Hi,

When I tried to install OpenShift 4 Developer Preview in AWS, it throws an error like this:

ERROR 1 error occurred:

ERROR
* module.vpc.aws_eip.nat_eip[0]: 1 error occurred: ERROR * aws_eip.nat_eip.0: Error creating EIP: AddressLimitExceeded: The maximum number of addresses has been reached. ERROR status code: 400, request id: 2054cc7a-6478-470e-b29c-a8905616d48e ERROR

How many Elastic IPs are required? Is there any way to reduce the required EIPs. There is a limit of 5 EIPs by default in AWS [1].

Regards,
Baiju Muthukadan

AFAIK you have EIPs for masters and then the Nat GW (which is ha too).
So with 3 masters you already hit the default limit. Saying that there is WIP to remove the EIPs from masters - see more [1]

The masters have public IPs (which we're dropping in the PR you linked), but those aren't EIPs.  More on our EIP requirements in [1].

I used a different region with fewer availability zones and it worked.

Thanks for all the help!
