After a lot of conversation, it turns out that the hotel food policy for conference meeting rooms is as follows: people are welcome to bring in individual servings to eat during sessions in the conference meeting space.  However, large group servings (say, an order of multiple pizzas) are not allowed, as the hotel would prefer you use their services for large orders.  Note that this does not apply to overnight rooms.

As a reminder, OpenSF will not be serving food or drink aside from water, in order to keep conference costs low.  The one exception is the Woodhull reception Saturday evening.

For meals, we encourage you to either bring your own or purchase food either at the hotel restaurant/bar or near the hotel - there are lots of options, especially over on Polk Street.  In order to cram more stuff into the weekend, OpenSF meal breaks are short.  Feel free to get takeout and bring it back to the next round of sessions.

Love,
The OpenSF Staff
