I just met Kevin and they experimented with the new aligner Star which is way faster than TopHat and seems to have better results.

We could discuss this and other topics.

Hi guys,

Hopefully, Nick will be able to put together some slides to illustrate the differences he observed between STAR and topHat.

In the meantime, here is the STAR publication attached. It would be a nice opportunity to discuss it along with Nick's recent experience/comparison of the two.

Also, if time allows, I just remember we didn't discuss the molecular complexity of NGS library planned last time. I'd suggest we bring that one too.

I hope this suits everyone, it will clearly be material for an hour meeting. And also that next Monday is okay with y'all !
