Merging lobbying data from CRP with Compustat

Hi everyone,

My name is Linh and I'm curently doing my Master thesis with the topic about Corporate Lobbying. I need to merge the lobbying data from CRP database with Compustat database. However, according to most of the papers I read, the authors would manually match these database as CRP database does not use GVkey or Cusip code. Therefore, I wonder if there is any ways more effective than hand match or I would really appreciate if you guys can share with me the previous work or any database with the firms from lobbying data (CRP database) already matched with GVkey or Cusip code.
